Social Windfarms - WindESCo and NREL collaborate to make turbines social

Burlington, MA – WindESCo, a wind energy efficiency company that is using a combination of wind farm domain expertise, advanced analytics, and smart sensing to revolutionize how wind farms leverage data to maximize profit and performance, today announced that long time industry executive Dr. Mark Preston will join the WindESCo team as VP Alliances and Delivery.

Mark’s 30+ year career spans all aspects of renewable energy technology and operations including wind and solar generation, power conversion, storage, SCADA, microgrid control, construction, and O&M. He served in senior leadership roles for GE, Vestas, Northern Power, Array Technologies, and several early-stage companies.
Mark holds a B.S., Mechanical Engineering from the University of Massachusetts, and a Ph.D., Electrical, Electronic & Control Engineering, from the University of Sussex in England.
