Meet WindESCo in Brussels at the Wind Europe Technology Workshop
WindESCo is attending the Wind Europe Technology Workshop in Brussels next week (June 23 - 24). We will be discussing the improvement of accuracy for...
We are excited to announce James Duncan as our new applications engineer, where he will serve as a technical resource for both the sales and customer success teams. James holds a Ph.D. in Wind Science and Engineering from Texas Tech University and both a B.S. and M.S. in Meteorology from The Florida State University. His doctoral research focused on the engineering of innovative analysis techniques to enhance our ability to resolve wind plants' complex flows and examine how flow fields impact both individual turbine and wind plant performance.
Prior to joining WindESCo, James was a Research Scientist in the NOAA Atmospheric Science for Renewable Energy Development group exploring how atmospheric phenomena and anomalous wind events adversely impact wind plant performance. Other previous experiences include research and consulting with the Energy Research Center of the Netherlands where he specialized in offshore wind energy applications, and a period spent with GE Renewables in the Aerodynamics and Acoustics research team.
As part of the WindESCo team, James will help develop and employ advanced analytics and support our customers in uncovering previously hidden AEP potential in wind plants.
