Meet James Duncan, Ph.D., WindESCo's New Application Engineer
We are excited to announce James Duncan as our new applications engineer, where he will serve as a technical resource for both the sales and customer...
Federico Bernardoni has been with WindESco as our summer 2021 Wind Plant Optimization Intern. Working with our R&D team, he's been using consensus-based models to obtain a more accurate wind direction for each wind turbine.
Federico holds a BS in Aerospace Engineering and an MS in Aerospace Engineering with a minor in Aerodynamics, both from the University of Pisa in Italy. Federico is a Ph.D. Candidate in Mechanical Engineering at the University of Texas at Dallas. His doctoral research will be focused on the fluid dynamic numerical simulation applied to wind energy.
This summer, Federico published his first academic paper in the Journal of Renewable and Sustainable Energy. His research contribution presents a solution for identifying wind turbine clusters for effective optimization.
In addition to engineering, Federico enjoys the outdoors, especially hiking, canoeing, and sailing. He is also interested in aviation and plans to work toward his Private Pilot License in the future.
As part of the WindESCo team, Federico helps reduce yaw error and increase AEP for customers.
We've been lucky to work with Federico this summer!
