Brian Burrows joined WindESCo this month as software analytics engineer.
Brian got his Ph.D. in mechanical engineering with a focus on optimization, machine learning, and data-driven engineering. He previously worked on developing algorithms and data analysis pipelines for self-aware aircraft, nuclear fusion simulations, and studying the impact of natural disasters on the built environment.
Most recently, Brian authored a proposal for using simulations of wind farms to determine optimal locations for data collection using an unmanned aircraft.
At WindESCo, Brian will assist in the development of the swarm product. He will evaluate the performance of the system and develop a procedure to continuously tune the parameters of our models to improve performance.
Brian lives in Colorado Springs with his wife and their puppy. Together they spend their time mountain biking, fishing, and reading.
